Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy for Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) was set up in 2011 by the Government of Punjab in Sector 77, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) for training boys for joining the armed forces as commissioned officers through the NDA/ other service academies.
